Trace Topo Map

I am trying to trace a topo plan and have been using video 1056 as a go by. I am able to import the image of the plan (as a .png) and can use the point to point resize to get it the correct size. When I try to draw the perimeter over the image I cannot draw lines a Picture File Box Specification window pops up. This is after trying to import a DWG file with all of the data which was repeatedly unsuccessful ("CAD block cannot be created because there are no objects that can be blocked" error. I am using a Mac with Sonoma 14.1.1

Know the issue - have had it happen to me.

I always save the image in plan - select the dwg then open the specification and tick the 'save in plan' box;

Now trace the image using lines and make a polyline of the site perimeter -

Then convert the polyline line to terrain by selecting it and right click to open convert polyline to terrain.

Thats my experience in a nut shell.  - Happy days.
