Can't get rid of trim above windows and doors

Hi. I'm new to Home Designer. I'm using the Architectural 2024 version.

When I place windows and doors, they all have this piece of trim above them that I can't seem to get rid of. I've turned off all possible things in the door and window dialog boxes, but this piece of trim remains on top. How can I get rid of this?

Is it a Lintel?

Doesn't look like it. They're on the interior walls as well and stick out past the drywall. The lintels that show up in the framing overview look like the rest of the framing (lighter default pine texture) and don't stick out any farther on interior or exterior than the rest of the framing.

Don't have that in the Architectural version, unfortunately.

Attach your plan file, or even better, a plan with just a wall with a window in it that shows the problem.

 

Did you start with one of the templates other than the Default Style?

Yep. You were right to ask about lintels and the template. I sent this same query to Support as well, and they told me that the reason I'm seeing them is because of the template I chose when starting my project. The windows in that template use lintels, but the version of software I have doesn't allow them to be turned on or off. Instead, I have to copy a window from a template that doesn't have them turned on and turn off the casings. That worked.
