BoDay1
I'm new to CA Pro. I'm working with a floating dormer in a small structure. The top of the dormer is at the ridge of the roof. Everything looks fine except from the interior the ceiling doesn't run all the way to the top of the dormer... ie. you can see the OSB roof decking. Any ideas on this? I have made the dormer as large as the program will allow. Bo
scottharris
Bo, can you post the plan and an image?
BoDay1
Hi Scott, I figured it out. The roof framing in my dormer was too thick for the pitch of the roof the dormer was built on and the size of the dormer. But thank you for getting back to me and I have two new questions. I'll try and post my plan as well. 1. I want to put the shower mixer valve on one wall and the shower head on a different wall. I can't seem to find the hardware to allow me to do that. 2. I have that pitch change in the roof above the door so that I can create an overhang to protect the door. It seems fine except from the inside there is an annoying space where the different pitches meet down low towards the exterior wall. I built a small wall to fill that space and that works but I wonder if there was an easier way to accomplish that.
