CraigScott
I've recently upgraded to HD Suite 2023 and there appears to be no capability in this version to insert dimensions when in 'elevation view'. Does anyone know why? Am I missing something? The latest version of Suite has some pretty sophisticated and useful functions in it, and based on this I would have thought that including the ability to insert dimensions when creating elevation views wouldn't have been all that hard. It's a particularly useful function for dimensioning the heights of kitchen and bathroom cabinetry for printed or downloaded plans, so I'm wondering if anyone knows why this functionality doesn't appear to be available in the Suite version? It's almost akin to including all the latest technology in a motor vehicle but conspicuously omitting to include the window wipers! Surely I shouldn't have to upgrade to the Architectural or Pro versions just to do this?
DavidJPotter
In Suite only the tape measure tool works in an elevation camera and it is only temporary. If you wish your elevation dimensions to stay you will have to at least upgrade to Architectural if not Home Designer Pro. DJP
CraigScott
Thanks for responding David. It really would be useful to know the reason(s) why this function isn't available in HD Suite. Afterall, its not as if it would be particularly difficult to include and seemingly not as complex as some of the other functions that are included in Suite. Is it's absence more of a commercial rather than an operational decision to entice users to upgrade? If so, it would be a pity as that would be something that would influence me (and perhaps other Suite purchasers) from not recommending HD to others. Perhaps I might add this to the 'Suggestions for improvement' forum although I'd be surprised if this hadn't already been suggested previously.
