NathanWarnock
Hello! I have a tray ceiling in the 9' kitchen which is adjacent to a great room with 13' ceilings. In order to create the tray in the kitchen, I had to uncheck the "Flat Ceiling" option for that room. In doing that, I lost the wall at the height difference step creating an open space into the attic when in 3D view. I did not use the soffit tool to create the tray as I want it to be raised up into the attic. Working in Home Designer Pro 2023. Thanks in advance! solver
Try making the wall a Pony Wall. Lower Room Divider, Upper your normal interior wall type.

It appears that this may work if there is a way to add drywall to the bottom side of the upper wall? I can't seem to find a way, even if I define a new wall type. Solution solver Posted January 16, 2023 Solution Share Posted January 16, 2023 Try dragging your ceiling plane over to cover, or use a thin soffit.
