What have you tried? 2 minutes ago, SA_Design_Team said: I an unable to open the 2nd floor to allow the stairwell to pass through. What's stopping you? Do you get an error message? SA_Design_Team
There were some solutions provided to user Shelby that did not work for me: "If you have Home Designer Pro, you can select your highest elevation roof plane, open its specification dialog and note the ridge height. In most of the other Home Designer titles, you can use a back-clipped elevation camera to view through your highest point, and then use the measurement tool to measure the height." Shelby was able to use the 3D elevation view and tape measure tool to do it, but my tape measure doesn't function in the 3D modes. I also searched for "height" and found nothing useful. I added up the heights of the ceilings/floors, materials, roof & added the slope (incl overhang) & guessed it'll be around 23.5' from slab, but I really need an exact figure to present since we are requesting a varience. I do not get an error message for the stairwell, it just passes straight through the default flooring instead of creating the open space necessary. I've attached my file, if it would be more helpful.
