Kzar-Kraft
Hi, New to CA and building my first As-IS plan using Home Designer Pro 2022. I have a 1960s cabin with a 6' stepped foundation. It has 2x6 treated sill plates and 2x4 pony wall framing. The sill plate is the bottom plate of the pony wall. I built the foundation and used the Pony wall to create the steps in the foundation. But, when I build the framing, Foundation > Subfloor for Floor 1 > Build Floor Framing, it creates the pony wall framing with 2x4s, but no sill on top of the concreate foundation. I've played with the different settings for the Sill plates, Foundations and Walls, with no luck. I manually changed the bottom plate of the pony wall framing to a treated 2x6, but it then shows though the 3D view on the outside. Any hints on how best to create the pony wall 2x4 framing using a 2x6 bottom sill plate? Note, If there isn't an easy solution, I'll keep the 2x4 bottom plate, change the Material to Treated Lumber, and make a note in my plan. Thanks K-K. solver
I don't know any way to control that dimension directly. I can think of a work around, but it's not perfect. Suggest you do as you proposed.
