How to flare a sidewalk

I am sure there is a simple answer to this, but I have searched through all of the Help formats on how to flare a sidewalk and can't find anything.  I do see that you can add flare instructions/dimensions when you open the sidewalk, but I don't see any handles when I close it, nor does it flare automatically for me.  Thanks in advance.

Whatever you are using, use a "Terrain Feature" instead of a "Sidewalk Feature", only the "Terrain Feature" can be flared or custom shaped in any title or version, but especially Home Designer.
