I'm hoping its possible to calculate wall areas of rooms or entire floors from a given plan in order to help in pricing installations. I'm currently working on a plan to add a third floor using a clients attic space. I'm fairly happy with the drawing so far, but would love to calculate the wall space so I can get a general idea as to square footage in order to price the framing and drywall installation. I'm using Home Designer Pro 2016. The walls have adjusted heights from one end to the other in order to account for the estimated pitch of the roof overhead, if that matters to the programs ability to calculate surface area.
