ThirtyWest
Hi all, I'm using HomeDesigner 8. I have a garage I'm designing--a detached. If I draw an internal wall at one end of the room (to make storage spaces etc), the floor height of the walls lift up compared to the other end of the garage. It even raised a side entry door that was on that room too. If i delete the interior wall, it falls back to the grass. Suggestions? 2021 newGarage.plan
ThirtyWest
well, i did include the version in the OP. But, I added it to the signature. And, the reason I posted was because self help wasn't producing.
solver
Did you change the room type of the newly created room?
ThirtyWest
I did. the first two were garages. the additionally made room was just called entry (for lack of an idea). I thought there was a potential issue with the foundation with garage, but I hadn't built foundations yet. this is just to work on shapes and layout--not for construction plans.. solver
Is this an existing structure? Is the new room just a part of a garage, or will it be built differently? If the wall is dividing a garage, then name both spaces garage.
ThirtyWest
it's a standalone structure. did you open the file attachment? it's just an interior wall dividing the room somewhat. it doesn't matter which name/type i give them. the wall raises that new room off the terrain. if i delete the wall, it falls back down. ThirtyWest
i think it was floor height. it was putting one at 0" and the other at -
