Flat Contemporary Roof??

Recommended Posts

How do you get a flat (zero pitch) contemporary looking roof in Home Designer Pro. The help forum says that with the Pro version and Chief Architect that it will allow you to overwrite to zero, but it won't let me. Only goes as low as 1/4" pitch that doesn't work. Does anyone have any tips on how to achieve this as it is a fairly common roof style nowadays. Thanks.

I see you said Pro, and the year (2020, 2021 etc) is also important.

You can help everyone by adding that info to your signature (see below for how to turn them on) by clicking on your user name at the top right of the page, click Account Settings, then Signature on the left.

Doing so makes it always available, and keeps others from having to hunt for it.

And, turn on signature display too.

You need to use manual roof settings to set the pitch to 0".

Hi Eric, I have just upgraded to Home Designer Pro 2021 after using 2019 for the last couple of years. Thanks for the information, I now see how to manually adjust and "lock" the zero pitch. Thanks again.

Cheers,
Dave
