How do I modify an item in a library

I am trying to add computer network jacks, and it looks like the only option if for CAT5e.  I would like to duplicate the CAT5e, and then modify it to be CAT6a, but I can't seem to figure out how to do this

That's because the software lacks the ability.

 

Have you checked the Bonus Catalogs, or 3D Warehouse (google it).
