Dianelise
Hello - We are retirees who are designing a new home prior to construction. We would like to get an idea on costs of our plans, prior to engaging a professional. Which program would be best for us?
solver
I'm not trying to take a sale away from Chief Architect, but consider engaging an Architect from the start. Put together a list of your wants and needs, and allow them to do their job. You don't need a plan, that's what the Architect does. They will create one that responds to your site, and your requirements. That said, I'll recommend you start with Suite.
DavidJPotter
Without reservation, I recommend Home Designer Pro Only. This will require some dedicated study to learn, sufficiently its tools and settings to obtain results but is worth the effort. Once competence is achieved, it is an enjoyable, creative tool indeed!
