Adjusting Tile in 3D View

Recommended Posts

Afternoon fellow draftsman and draftswoman. My question arises upon a need to alter the presence on 3D for some tile. I have followed all the steps to alter said tile. unfortunately it doesn't take the form I needed it to. The tile in question is a Carrera Marble grid pattern that I needed to have layed out to rectangular, horizontal and brick pattern. I made all adjustments that I needed to and it shows the valid move in the material description. Unfortunately it doesn't move or change in the 3D rendering. Perhaps it isn't part of my program, I really don't know but I'm about to pull my hair out. I am currently using Home Designer Pro 2019 with the latest update. Any help or suggestions would be wonderful. Thank you in advance and God bless.

I see you said Pro, but answers often depend on which title (Suite, Pro etc) and version (2018, 2019 etc) you are using.

You can help everyone by adding this info to your signature (see below for how to turn them on, then see mine for an example) by clicking on your user name at the top right of the page, click Account Settings, then Signature on the left.

Doing so makes it always available, and keeps others from having to hunt for it.

And, turn on signature display too.

Textures and patterns are different -- check the documentation.

A texture is like a picture. To get tile to show a different layout, you need to find a different image of the tile in that layout.

Tip: 3D Rendering could refer to any one of several types -- standard, vector etc. It helps to specify, or post an image showing the problem.

This is what you need to set for a regular 3d view  (the setting shown is close to a match for the 'pattern' setting that you have).

But why is the bottom of the tub 18" above the floor?
And why are there 3 different slabs over the tub?
