Darren-Cambridge
What is the best practice in order to explain to home owner and contractor Changes in building from Old to New. Example the second floor of standard house. We wish to move non-structural walls expanding a hallway and dividing a bed room into a study and small laundry room. Is there a way of greying out/ ghosting original walls showing new layout to show the benefits in size and flow? This will help with visual types and keeping track of changes being made. I am guess this would be done with a layering detail?
DavidJPotter
I always use two plans: one that reflects existing conditions (as built) and then a save-as copy of that plan called: version one, two etc. These plans show potential changes or additions that are proposed to be made. I do agree with Eric in that knowing what software title and version would determine any specific suggestions because different titles and versions vary wildly as to capabilities and choices to get things done. What do you have???? DJP
