dleggett
I am trying to make some dormers for my house model which are flush with the exterior from of the house. However, when I do this, the trim and gutter of the roof run in front of the window. I have posted a picture of this. Any ideas/suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks, Davod
Jo_Ann
Using the auto dormer tool always leaves a roof eave in front of the wall. Follow this older thread: http://hometalk.home...the-attic-level
Kbird1
You haven't updated you signature to say what version you have but there are also two tutorials in the KB that may help draw the dormers manually. http://www.homedesignersoftware.com/support/article/KB-00367/52/Home-Designer/Roofs/Drawing-a-Shed-Dormer-Manually.html http://www.homedesignersoftware.com/support/article/KB-00396/52/Home-Designer/Roofs/Building-a-Manual-Dormer-in-Home-Designer-Pro.html

Kbird1
the tutorials will have an icon on them saying if they are applicable to Suite , as Suite does not have manual Roof Tools but the 1st link above will work with Suite. M.
Kbird1
Using the auto dormer tool always leaves a roof eave in front of the wall. Follow this older thread: http://hometalk.home...the-attic-level just wanted to Clarify , that if you have Pro you can use the Auto Floating Dormer Tool and then manually edit the Roof plane in front of the Dormer to cut it out once the Dormer is exploded.
