Daphne617
I have been struggling to print a plan that I am working on. Anytime I print my smaller plans on letter everything goes smoothly. This is a larger plan and I need it to print on 11X17. I have everything set right as far as I can tell and have added the layout template to make it more professional. My problem is that once I send the plan to the Layout template, the layout template itself will not print. If I print it by itself it does not fill the entire paper. I purchased a large format printer after having absolutely no luck sending files to my printer for her to print. Everything she printed came out very grainy. Here are screenshots of what I am seeing. This is with my drawing scale and printer both set to tabloid, landscape. The white part is all that will print. The profile is with my layout saved. The RV plan is what I am trying to print. It is very grainy and the text is not readable at all. I can't upload the RV plan at this time. It is too large. I am uploading the files that I am working with as well. Thanks for any and all help. I have never used CAD before and had to get it for this job. Daphne Profile HOME DESIGNER.layout

Electromen
I'm using X9 Pro, but it should be similar. I print to .PDF, then open it in Adobe Acrobat. In Acrobat, I use the print setup first and then print.
Daphne617
I have it in .pdf. Adobe is giving me an error message when I try to print.
DavidJPotter
What does the "error message" state when you try to print On 8/29/2017 at 4:50 AM, Daphne617 said: If I print it by itself it does not fill the entire paper. That means that you have NOT yet successfully set up "Print - Page Set up" within HD Pro. Print settings are rather simple and straight forward but they are also completely unforgiving when setting errors are entered. Once you fully understand the print set up and page set up procedure you will get what you are after but NOT until you get it right. Your own statement proves that the settings are incorrect, if need be open the Reference Manual to the section on Printing and carefully study that material until you find out what was misunderstood by you. Only then will all be well. DJP
DavidJPotter
Here is a You Tube video of me working on you plan and layout. My advice is to share copies of those files with Tech Support. The problem seems to be in drawing errors within your plan file causing it to crash when printed. A vexing situation but one which I cannot solve for you. DavidJPotter
I looked at the plan file one more times to see how you drew the CAD parts (Using Roads). I did not see any "drawing errors" so the weakness must be resident in the extensive use of road objects itself. I am sorry but you may consider redrawing the road objects with simple 2D CAD polylines and thus "solve" the printing problem (only a guess) or just wait until you get a report from Tech Support. Daphne617
David, Thanks so much. My computer graphics friend finally got it to print by opening it in Photoshop and then saving as a PDF. Adobe Reader wasn't liking something in the original program. Like you stated I think it is all of the extensive use of the road objects. Thank you for your help on this.
