skiguy
I am trying to put a roof on top of a dormer. When I place a roof plane over a manually created dormer wall it ends up attached to the roof below rather than the top of the wall. What causes this? solver
Could you post images or the plan showing the problem?

solver
I deleted yours and drew in one -- no problems. You can always move it up using Transform Replicate, or by opening the Roof Plane Dialog and raising the Baseline Height.
solver
Looking closer at the plan, I see the baseline of your roof plane is well outside the wall. Roof planes need to be drawn with the baseline over the outside edge of the wall. You can change overhang and pitch in the Build Roof Dialog before drawing in the roof plane.
