dcscca
We're planning to re-roof our house. The new roof will have 4 1/2" of XPS rigid foam insulation and plywood added to the roof assembly in certain parts of the roof. The XPS and plywood will go above the roof sheathing, so in the sections where this material is added, the roof assembly will be 4 1/2" thicker than in the rest of the roof. Is there a way to model roof thickness on a per roof plane basis (or at all)? I looked at the roof plane dialog box but was stymied. Thanks very much. DavidJPotter
Before you build roofs you would open th "Build Roof" dialog and using its "Framing Tab" you could alter the thickness of the roof planes to emulate the additional roof thickness you desire. You will not be able to rename those framing layers but you can set them to emulate the wanted thicknesses. When you have that set just as you like it, then build roofs and it should give you the appearance you want. DJP
