ChiefRalph
I am new user of Chief Architect Home Designer Pro, so still learning the tools functionality. I can't find forms for building metal building walls, roofs, etc... Do they exist? If not, I would appreciate any suggestions on how it can be done. DavidJPotter
There are no "forms" but there are "Default Settings - Framing" where you can assign metal studs and metal joists. There are dropdown menus and material settings (no forms). DJP
ChiefRalph
Thanks for the correction (settings vs forms). I am using Pro 2016. Just now getting back to my project. The project in question is a 30' x 50' building/shop, either a prefab metal or post and beam type construction. Probably not the best project for a first time user, however that's the plan. I need to spend more time digging the available framing settings, maybe steel columns and related framing is there, I just haven't come across it yet. Any suggestions/tips are always appreciated as I get familiar with the tool.
DavidJPotter
Eric or I would need to know EXACTLY how you intend to build your "Metal Building" (all metal buildings are not created equal you know). but however you intend to build that needs to be known and emulated in the software FIRST before you start drawing. Default Settings must be set, then start drawing. DJP
