nomiguy
I am trying to create sideways of varying archs and widths to create our landscape design. It seems I cannot create a connect poly shape to a solid surface (don't even see that as an option once a poly is drawn) and the sidewalk tools create fairly rigid shapes and when they are connected changing the width does the whole length. It is a paver walkway with a few half circles, connection points, etc. Tried a slab as well but that doesn't follow terrain elevation What is the best/easiest way to create this? Thanks in advance, drawing attached. I'm using home designer architectural 2016. Image attached.
Jo_Ann
Study the reference guide chapter: Terrain>Roads, Drivewaysand Sidewalks. Then prepare to start tearing out patches of your hair.
nomiguy
Lol, yeah, ended up using rectangular garden stones and using breakpoints and line to arch. Seems to be working, holding terrain. Thanks for the reply nonetheless!
katalyst777
Terrain Features - Start with a rectangular one, change the material, then edit its shape to whatever you need. Here's an earlier thread that discusses the same thing with an image for an example.https://hometalk.chiefarchitect.com/index.php?/topic/19-flared-walkway/
