hannah707
Hey guys, i have the 2016 home designer suite edition for mac and i am stumped as to how to create a custom bathtub. The tubs that are included in the library (and i already downloaded all of the additional content available online) are just the tubs and i dont know how to create an elongated area around it. In earlier versions i know there is a slab tool but i havnt found anything that i could use. Please HELP!! This is what im using as inspiration
Kbird1
it looks like a Deck mount / insert / drop in bathtub to me there are some in the library but 1st you use a base cabinet , reconfigured to look like the deck you want in photo etc , eg countertop is slab ( Suite doesn't have slabs AFAIK just Soffits) and you change the doors etc to be blank and the correct material eg granite. this KB should help with the rest. http://www.homedesignersoftware.com/support/article/KB-00886/ edit: here is the KB on how to do what I mentioned at the Top just a little more elegantly said http://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-01264/
DavidJPotter
Here is a You Tube video of me trying to emulate your image using Suite 2016. In retrospect, I probably should have used soffits for the tub deck (easier to program than the cabinets I did try to use). You might also see what additional Library content you can acquire and perhaps use 3D Warehouse imports for symbols that you might need that Suite does not have by default: https://youtu.be/rDUp_kt21UA DJP
