Moonview
I am putting an addition onto an existing house. The roof will be a cross gable - perpendicular to the existing roof. I need to cut into the soffit and facia of the existing home to place the new frame. I don't know how or where to cut the soffit out so that the new trusses will line up properly and creat the proper valley. Can someone help ? solver
The program should do it automatically when you generate the roof. What title (suite, Pro etc) and version (2015, 2016 etc) are you using?
Kbird1
maybe I am reading the OP wrong , but it sounds like he wants advice to do it ITRW (in the real world) not in the software to me .... , in which case I'd say check Youtube or hire a good Framer/Carpenter to help. you could also try the JLC Forums for advice http://forums.jlconline.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?11-Rough-Framing&s=8809e5d41e259d44d29af9ff2e10dba7
