Manual and Automatic Shed Doremer

I am using Home Designer Pro 2024.   I manually and automatically added a shed dormers to a design.  I am having problems with the side knee walls.   If I specify exterior siding walls for the exterior knee walls, I get exterior siding walls on both sides and if I specify interior walls for the knee walls, I get drywall on both sides of the kneewall, interior and exterior  .  The roof plane dividing the knee walls does not seem to break the wall to allow for the use of drywall for the inside and siding for the outside of the wall.   

 

I tried auto dormers and floating dormers and could not get either to work properly, usually ending up with the gray box of error.

Any suggestions is appreciated!
