I need two upstairs walls to be at dado height over the stairs to create a loft bedroom. In a reno we will cut the existing wall to .900mm approx. 3 feet in height. then put a floor supported over this wall to form a loft style bed over the stairs. Could someone tell me how to cut the existing wall in this program " Pro". to make a wall just 900mm heigh. Many Thanks Robyn

I think I have worked it out you actually need to be in a camera view for the icons in toolbar to work. Hope this helps someone else. click 3d icon select create perspective view select full camera

I am in plan view and the camera is selected in in the defaults. But is not working in the tool bar.

Thankyou David I will have a look at 3D warehouse. I did look at sketchup and that is a lot of learning which I do not have time for. It might be back to the drawing board.

Hi all has anyone designed a caravan with HD Pro and can it be done? A camping group I belong to have asked me to design a few different types of caravans. A tear drop and other small vans. The vans must have an enchanted curve to them.

Wow This is great info. Is there a video tutorial on tracing over Cad 2D plans? I looked but could not find it.

Hi I just tried to do this I put a flat roof onto the end of my drawing In "Plan View" I went to plant chooser and selected herbs. I then tried to place the plants on the plan. When I looked with the camera the plants were on the ground. Naturally LOL this programs not silly.... In perspective view I selected the plants and changed their above ground height. You should group select the plants and make an Architectural Block and add to your library. When you hold the shift key and select the plants a small colored box will be on the bar in the bottom left corner of your screen. Once you have that block click on it and Open it. The open command is a small "Book" icon in the left hand bottom side of your screen. Then you can from that screen change the floor height of the plants. However someone else may have a better solution as I am still learning Pro

Hi all in photo one:- Is the way a quick floor and site plan looks in HD Pro. In photo 2 and 3:- This is the way our local Real Estate agents like to present a plan layout of existing properties for sale. My question are:- 1. I cannot workout how to colour the wall outlines in solid black. 2. How to colour the rooms. 3. I need to remove the grid lines for the screen shot once I have drawn the plan If I have not explained this is a manner you understand please let me know. Many Thanks in advance Robyn

There is a video that shows you how to place a picture of a plan and draw your plan next to it but I cannot remember what it was called. Try searching the knowledge base for tracing. I do not think we can trace in this HD products but I am sure that is what I used as my search word when I was looking. I will have a search now and come back here if I can find it for you. However the other thing you can do is re-size each wall. Start with the outside walls and be sure to click on the direction icon before tapping the enter key. See photo of the size icons arrows. It is best to save your plan with another name before learning about these arrows and the way they change your walls. I found they can change other wall positions if you click the wrong arrow. I also found it best to change the external walls as I draw them, one at a time. When you have the entire plan drawn all kinds of things happen as you are changing the sizes.

I often have this problem too. I close down wait a while and re-open the plan. One thing I have found is you do not need to break wall at both corners.
