As 2018 came to a close, so did many updates and additions of HD 2019 Catalogs!
If you haven't gotten the latest versions for your designs, I implore you to make this one of the easiest New Year's Resolutions to check off of your list.
Use the Update Library command to automatically get the latest updates, and visit the 3D Library to see what's new-to-you.

Edit: After reviewing, we've found this catalog is compatible, and have made it accessible to non-SSA users.

We are happy to announce more new catalogs available for download from the 3D Library!
Download the recent additions like Azek, Wayfair Trade, and Wilsonart.
It has been a while since we posted an announcement, so be sure to run updates on your installed catalog (see my signature for instructions), and browse the 3D Library to explore our recent additions.
Did you know you can filter the 3D Library results by posting date?
1) Click the "Toggle category/tile view" to see an uncategorized list of all catalogs
2) Choose "Date Added" from the 'Sort By' drop-down list.

We've been busy the last few months and have created and released many new catalogs and catalog updates.
Some of these are free and some are available for purchase. Check out the 3D Library to see what is new!

You can find more detailed views of many catalogs' contents in our HomeTalk Gallery.
We've also made updates and fixes to existing Core Catalogs, Bonus Catalogs, and Manufacturer Catalog that you may have already installed. To ensure you have the best and most current versions of these catalogs, we encourage your to run the Update Library Catalogs feature from the "Library" menu in your application. This will automatically update your content to ensure you are working with the highest quality you have to offer!

Do you have a favorite backdrop image that you find works well for many of your projects?
We are looking to accumulate a variety of examples that we can share with other users as a bonus catalog!
If you would like to contribute any images for consideration as a backdrop, please send your samples to:

We have found that good backdrops typically have a horizon line at about 1/2 the height of the total image. They also need to be a minimum of 1280 pixels wide in order to have enough resolution on screen.
*Any images submitted must be yours to share as owner and author. Please do not share other artists' work that you do not have rights and permission to distribute. Chief Architect may modify images for optimization and purposes and contact you for more information about any submitted images.

Have you taken the opportunity to download the latest catalogs for your Home Designer Software?
If not, visit the 3D Library to access add-ons, including the latest Minwax® and Rustic Wood Materials catalogs.
The catalogs are compatible with all products with one exception. Home Designer Essentials does not support branded catalogs; Minwax is not available for Home Designer Essentials.

Visit the 3D Library to download two new catalogs!

Though we haven't released many add-on catalogs for the Home Designer Product line recently, we have done some updating (maybe about 30% so far?) to the Core Catalogs.
From the Library menu, select "Update Library Catalog" to get the latest objects. You should notice that many objects, specifically in the Appliances, Lighting, and Furniture areas, have been updated to have higher quality and modernized 3D geometry.
Because these objects are stored in the Library only, you will need to replace items in your designs with the new variations... objects in your existing designs will not update automatically.
We have more updates to the core catalogs and the bonus catalogs you have access to from the 3D Library planned. Hopefully these changes will help to make your scenes more interesting and relevant!
