Too add on, DON'T turn off "Auto rebuild roof", until you are satisfied with the roof. Suite doesn't have the tools to manually edit a roof plane like Pro
and Premier does.
Send the plan and we will fix it.
-
Go to Preferences>General>Edit>Crosshair
Uncheck the boxes

-
Click on a Rail to open it's specification box..
Click Newel/Balusters....
In Newels/Post adjust the spacing...
-
-
When you click Build>Roof the Option box displays clicks Roof styles and then click the one you want to create. A pop up will show with instructions
on how to build the roof.

-
Build the house first, or create a terrain perimeter, size and reshape to what you want and then build the house.
-
Like Elovia said you will have to manually adjust...mainly the stairs if you want the room(s) to stay the same size.
You don't have to extend the vertical wall, just the horizonal one
If you build a wall it's gonna be the same as extending it.
If you use a shape, you will also need a soffit to cover the bottom.
-
Right or Left click on the file, then drag it to the Homedesigner Pro 2016 data - textures folder on the C drive.
-
Instead of building another wall, just extend it until it covers the gap.

I'm trying to figure out what's was problem.... 2 doors were shown, one with the casing, one without, if don't want the space from the door to the driveway, you change the swing side.

I downloaded SketchUp and rotated it but when I try to import it, it says it was created in an incompatible software version. Do I have to purchase SketchUp Pro?
Thanks
Alan
No, When you 'save as' in Skecthup you have to select which version ie: 2015, 2014 etc: Use the drop down list.
Any version you "save as" will work in HD

Go to Default settings>plan
-
Build your plan to how you want it.Then turn off Auto rebuild foundation. Align the 2 foundation walls.
The foundation is aligning with notches you have on external walls.
-
-
use the break wall tool on both sides, make that wall a interior wall...

Once you get the roof to how you want it, you turn off auto rebuild. You have stuff in the attic that should not be there. The 1st floor ceiling heights are what's
causing the problems.
-
I understand what you are saying, but that is reason the 1st floor defaults are greyed out, the upper floor(s) are out of alignment with 1st.
Did you post the plan? If it was created with HDA I'd like to take stab at it. If was created with Pro I'm SOL (Simply out of luck)
-
Sailor,
You have been shown and told how to fix the problems, go back and read you're posts.
You still have different ceiling heights on the 1st floor, Invisable walls etc.
rename the Porch and Slab
-
Did you try changing the ceiling heights by clicking Edit>default settings? What I have learned is that if you can't change the ceiling heights individually for a floor, the walls above it are not aligned or have different ceiling heights,
You would have to disconnect the wall(s) above and then change the heights for the floor below.

Solver, yes can by using the room divider tool, it creates a room where you can edit.
A 3rd metheod is to use a doorway and then edit..

My experience has been to undo what caused the error to appear.. If you "save as" you're saving the error also..
