KKBKeith
Hi All, I'm in Home Designer Pro 2025 (v. 26.3.0.10/Windows 10), I have a peninsula Straight Half-Wall in this kitchen supporting a flow over counter top that base mold is not wrapping around at the end but at the stud that appears to be set in 1 1/2" from the end. I have tried starting the wall at the left peninsula end and ending it at the full height wall right (as seen in the floor plan below) & vice versa, with no difference. Once the wall is connected to the end of the tall wall to the right the framing recesses that stud in on the end. The Anyone know what I'm doing wrong with the framing/studs here? Also having issue with dishwashers being recessed in rendered view as if the front corner is locking into the location where the plan shows the rear corner to be. Not sure if this is because of the wall issue or not. Thanks, Keith Edited 12 hours ago by KKBKeith added pic
Solution Rookie65 Posted 11 hours ago Solution Share Posted 11 hours ago The molding may not be showing because of the invisible wall at the end of the short wall. It acts as a room divider, and will not show it. You can try changing the wall type to "room divider" and have it show with the single line. It's something that changed a few versions back and is a pain in that it shows as a wall and not a dividing line. Another thing to look at is you have "no room moldings-exterior" checked. Try unchecking that d see if it helps. For the dishwasher, that is to be "dropped" into a cabinet. If not, it's likely being pushed back by the cabinet. To save yourself some typing, fill out your signature on the "account settings" in your profile. That was your version and year will always be in your posts, and you don't have to bother typing it every time.
KKBKeith
Thanks other Keith! That was right on both counts. So you have to place a cabinet in the kitchen & basically replace it with a DW? Weird, but ok. On the room dividers, that is causing the problem & I can't figure out a way to define the kitchen room without using that wall as a border. Will just have to remove it when I want to do 3D views. Thanks.
Rookie65
If you can get the "room divider" wall type to just show up as a line, and not an an "invisible wall", it may help it. I put a base cabinet with a dishwasher in it in my user library, so I can access it easily.
KKBKeith
Even when it just shows up as a single line it causes the stud at the end of the wall framing to recess back by 1 1/2" and the molding follows that face across the end of the wall instead of the face of the drywall. The base does wrap the end but it is buried behind the drywall. Since the drywall wraps the wall where it should be I'm not sure why the base doesn't. It must be a glitch they need to fix in a future release. Is there a reporting mechanism for bugs that users want fixed?
Rookie65
You can contact support. It's been an issue for years. You might be able to sneak a full height soffit in there. Or try unchecking the no locate box
