Slight Foundation Slope in Remodel Plans – Worth Adjusting?

Hey everyone,

I’m in the early stages of planning a remodel for an older home, and while going over the existing foundation in Chief Architect, I noticed there's a very slight slope on one side. It’s not showing major cracks or anything, but the floorplan feels a little uneven when I simulate walking through.

A concrete contractor I spoke with briefly said sometimes these small slopes are common in older homes, but depending on the project, they might need to be addressed during remodels to prevent further shifting down the line.

I’m not sure if I should build with the slope as-is or look into leveling it out before finalizing the design. Has anyone dealt with this kind of thing in their plans or during construction?

Thanks for any advice!

I came across a few helpful tips on a similar issue over at: https://www.concretecontractorsannarbormichigan.com/

I'm also wondering if adjusting it in the software will throw off anything later when it comes to the framing or elevation views.

I have yet to find where you can a have a slope on foundation or a concrete slab.

Everything is flat.

If you want slope you need to put it in a note.

As for your REMODEL you need to talk to contractor and maybe engineers to see if potential issues need to be addressed.

Sinking foundation is not good as it can cause sheetrock cracks as well as roof leaks, exterior issues like cracked brick mortar joints etc.
