JamesFL
Hello everyone, I have a situation where I have a large opening leading from a living area to an outdoor patio with a 4-panel sliding door system that will recess into a pocketed area on both sides of the opening (2 panels each side). However, I am running into an issue where I am unable to find out how to actually accomplish this. I have tried using the pocket door object, but I'm unable to make two panels open to the same side, and I don't see a way to make a sliding door object recess into a pocketed area. I'm essentially trying to accomplish what is being discussed in this post: https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/topic/44573-double-wall-for-large-giant-pocket-sliding-doors/ While the pocket door solution discussed in this post would do exactly what I'm looking for, I don't see how to do this with Home Designer Pro 2025. If anyone has any advice on how to accomplish this, it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you
Solution Rookie65 Posted April 8 Solution Share Posted April 8 Have you looked at the bonus catalogs for the Nanawall door systems? Not sure if they have an option that might work for your application.
JamesFL
Thank you for the reply. I took a look into the Nanawall library and the Cero glass wall object does exactly what I am looking for. I appreciate your help!
ASENADESIGN
So, I did 2 patio doors and placed them together, then I did a right clic to combine them as one. (Combine as mulled unit)
Rookie65
I don't think the mull feature is available in Home Designer Pro. There is an option to make 4 panel sliders, yet the center opening operation is not what he was looking for
JamesFL
Thank you ASENADESIGN for your reply. The Nanawall suggestion from Rookie65 actually ended up working perfectly for what I needed. Under the NanaWall library in the Glass Walls folder, the Cero object worked well for the 4-panel pocket slider. I also had a 6-panel sliding door with a similar pocket configuration that I needed to implement, and the NanaWall HSW66 SwingSlide object worked perfectly for this. The key was to make sure the door type is set to "Pocket". Here's a couple screenshots of the end result:
