IdahoJaci
I'm brand new, have watched a lot of the videos, but am very confused. I am having a couple issues. Can I turn off all dimensions so I can get a cleaner view of my layout? How do I get rid of the object I just used when I want to move? Once I set a window, when I want to do something else, the window tags along until I decide what I want to do next. I spend more time deleting things that were set in error than entering new things. I don't always want to draw something else in right away. I find the best way for me to learn new software is just keep using it. I did my complete floor plan with all the cabinets and furniture included. But I couldn't see anything I was adding because of all the clutter. So I made a new copy and removed everything except walls, doors, and windows. I am still having issues with seeing the roof plane lines amongst all the dimensions included. Is it a good idea to save each new part as a separate file? If I do that, it seems it might be easier to see what I am doing, but won't be possible to see a good walk-through shot without everything in it. Lastly, I sort of have the roof working. My house is in 3 sections. The middle and right section are a mobile home with the roof peak going vertically in the picture. The section on the left is a fairly new addition with the roof peak going horizontally in the photo. I am able to get one or the other roof planes connected just fine. But when I try to connect the 3rd and 4th planes together I get the error that it can't be done. In the attached photos is the error I am getting and what the roof really should look like. The highlight parts are porches that are being removed, so those roof lines are not in my plans. Thanks for an ideas or suggestions. I've come a long way in just a few hours, but..... Solution y-g-m-n Posted February 8 Solution Share Posted February 8 turn off auto dimensions. Also learn to play with the DISPLAY OPTIONS feature which turns on and off visible layers in the current type view, be it plan or any of the 3d
IdahoJaci
Thank you. I spent an entire day clicking each thing off and one to see what it did. That solved 99% of my problem.
