ChlefUserJohn
I am trying to add a gable roof like in the supplied picture (real house). The best I can get is what's in the computer generated pic. Does anyone know how to accomplish this?
ChlefUserJohn
Almost there with the "Rectangular Roof Over" option on the wall 45 angle walls of the bay window. You can see in the real picture that the effect is the front face is shaped like an arrow pointing up. Is it possible to get that last difference implemented? Jo_Ann
Square off the bay by creating 2 small rooms on each side of the bay, using invisible walls. Open the small rooms and set them as 'open below'. Set the entire front bay wall (including the front invisible walls) as 'gable'.
ChlefUserJohn
I am almost there! That info was very helpful! I am not sure how to fix the sagging roof material in the provided picture. Any ideas?
Jo_Ann
If you want to get good answers, then you need to use the correct terminology. That is not sagging roof material. That is the ceiling of the tiny room. Open the room dialog structure tab, and check ' use soffit surface for ceiling'.
ChlefUserJohn
I used incorrect terminology but still got a good answer - Your interpretation was flawless! The soffit option worked, Thanks!
