Confused on best method to correct/proceed

1)  I have a front door in the air that when I Edit/Select it will not allow me to drag it partially into the foundation wall where it actually is.

2)  I made a bow window that will not drag down to the correct position and is partially stuck in the soffit.

3)  I would like to make garden doors but could not find that option.

4)  How is it best/quickest to add a porch?

5)  Can you go back and add studs/trusses to a home designer file?

Heather, welcome to home talk!  Looks like you have several questions here.  It might be helpful to isolate some of those separately; and if you post your plan, others can take a look.

 

On your door/window question, frequently if you cannot move those, it may be bumping a ceiling or floor platform or even another wall.  You can override bumping/snapping by holding down the control key and then moving the object with your mouse.

Thank you for the help so far.  Can someone please let me know how to import the file here?  I tried before but the bringing the file in directly, it is too large.

Heather, you can 'zip' your file.  Usually, find the file on your system, right click and then zip.  It should condense it so you can post.
