HardWorkingBee
I am trying to create U-shaped stairs but I need to split the default rectangular landing into two equal parts with a single riser in between. I already figured out how to get close to this by using 3 stair sections and connecting the two landings with a single-thread section however I actually need to eliminate that single thread and directly connect the two landings with a single riser. Can anybody help please? Thanks.
Rookie65
Depending on which Home Designer program you have, you cold do it with 2 landings. Do one set of stairs and set the top height and select your riser height. Put the 1st landing at the bottom. Then set the next landing at a riser height lower. Then you can complete the stairs by looking at the measurements left.
HardWorkingBee
Yes, I've actually done that but of course in that case the whole stair doesn't actually behave as one. In other words, it's actually split into two disconnected sections. I can't get the two landings to snap together no matter what I do. I am using Home Designer Pro 2019 on a Mac. Thanks. HardWorkingBee
Keith & Eric, thanks for your responses. And Eric, thanks also for all the pointers. Brand new to the forums here as you might guess... Bummer that it's not possible to just connect two landings but the answer seems to be clear at least... Thanks.
