Phil02
I just downloaded Home Designer Pro 2016 today (trial version) so I am clueless ... but can someone point me in the right direction? I want to have double pitched hip roof, with 6:12 on the main roof and 4:12 at the eaves, with the roof planes joining along a line inboard of the exterior wall. These are fairly common where I live, but don't see then in the roof type selection. Can this be generated automatically, or do I need to build the roof planes manually? Phil02
Thank you so much for reading and replying. I did find these roof styles in the software application. But that roof is single pitched. A double pitched hip roof is similar to the hip roof shown, but the eaves are flared at a different slope (similar to the gull wing roof style, but the flared eave extends around all sides...with no gables). I was wondering if that kind of roof could be auto generated.
Kbird1
if you read the help on the Gullwing it will let you know how to set it up and then just do it on all four walls , it works fine Auto.

Phil02
Thank you both. I will look at the gull wing help and look at the questions board next time. Good tip on YouTube. Just discovered Chief Architect today. Much more to discover. I appreciate your patience. Phil
