  1. Thanks, I didn't know that was available. It is now on my desktop.
  2. After going through the video tutorials again I found out how to change it under Edit>Default settings> Dimensions.
  3. You say read up on dimension defaults. Where would I find that info?
  4. I'm about to attempt that. First I'll do a test drawing and see what the dimensions of each section would be and then try to apply that manually to my real drawing. I'll keep you posted.
  5. I designed my house plans the way I wanted it it to be modifying the dimensions to suit my needs. When I made my automatic dimensions I noticed that the dimension were down to the gnats eyebrow but when viewing the foundation/ walkout level it gives outside of wall to outside of wall dimension of 12' 9 5/8" for the bedroom bump out. Is this common? should I change it to 12' 9" or 12' 10" or will the foundation contractor do that?
  6. 24 years ago when I built this house each corner was an additional $50. The 4 corners on the basement would have been $200, probably $600 now.
  7. Actually Home Design Suite 2014 has an "oriel" window which is nice but by definition doe not go to the ground. I want 1 to put my love seat in and another to have a seat with storage underneath. The one in HD 2014 has nice flared copper roof that I would like to incorporate in mine design.
  8. The contractor was worried abot insulating and other ????? He's built 2 houses for me before. I'll talk to him again.
  9. I have my home plans about 95% finished and then decided to put a bay window in the study. It's a picture window,$' flanked by a 2' window positioned at 45 degrees. My builder said he would like the basement walls to follow this profile rather than cantilever it past the basement walls. I have the lower level all finished off so when I build the new foundation wall I lose all my lower level, basement, design. Is there a way to mimick the upper level bump out with losing all the detail of the lower level.
  10. I kind of noticed that also but i attributed that to the lack of traffic on this type of forum. Others get a lot of traffic but it seems that with forum people just drop in time to time. JMHO
  11. That's strange I go to the library and type in television-----NOTHING. Later I decided to some drop downs in the library and came across Home Designer Core>interior>electronics>Home entertainment> Television>Flat screen . It doesn't look like the search feature is very effective.
  12. Where could I find a wall mounted, flat screen, television?
