  1. I believe DianeQ meant California not Chief Architect when she said CA. I could be mistaken but it is a reasonable conclusion since different states have different requirements.
  2. I'm trying to create a wall that looks like graffiti on a brick wall. Everything I've seen that uses the 3D> Material Painter> Blend color with materials will only allow a single color to be painted over the material. What I'd like to do is take a jpg image and paint it on a brick wall keeping the brick texture and the image. Is this possible with HomeDesigner Pro 2021 or any of the Chief Architect products. Thanks for your help.
  3. Oops, Sorry MauiMike. Didn't realize it wasn't in Architectural.
  4. Thanks Eric. I've just been opening the cabinet object and adding the item in place of the drawer in the components section. This works well enough for specification purposes.
  5. It takes a little planning ahead but you can use the Transform/Replicate Object Tool. It's not ideal and only works before fact but it helps.
  6. I did a search but was unable to find an answer to this. Is there any way to access the Rev-A-Shelf library without upgrading to Chief Architect and SSA?
  7. Thanks Eric, I'll give that a try. Anne
  8. I've looked in the Q & A section but haven't been able to find an answer to my specific issue. Using HD Pro 2021. I'm building a home with a loft that has a 14 / 12 roof over it and would like to build cabinets built into the very low wall section. If i place cabinets in this area they extend up through the roof. I have tried adding a wall with pass through windows and shelves but then I can't figure out how to attach doors to the front that will open in 3D. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to do this? I'm sure it's been done before. Thanks for your help.

    Default windows

David, Thanks for your help. That is exactly what I have done, including setting up labels and Manufacturer info. I appreciate your assistance. I have also saved the windows with all the settings, using the actual Marvin windows, with all the other defaults set in my user library. I just wish that the default window setting would allow the specification of a manufacturers window. Thanks again for your input. Anne

    Default windows

I am using HD Pro 2021 with Windows 10 and I'm trying to figure out if there is a simple, straightforward way to set a manufacturer's window as the default. Currently I am including the specs for the Marvin windows I'm using in the default settings but i was hoping to be able to select the window from the library so I don't need to manually add all the sizing, ID and other information. Thanks for your help. Anne

    Weird deck rails

After adding a deck with railing, the elevations and 3D views look completely normal. Don't know why it looks like that in the opened object. I guess I don't need to worry about it. Thank you for your help.

    Weird deck rails

Does anyone have any idea what I have done wrong in my settings to get this railing? There appears to be a full height wooden panel covering half of my railing. Don't see anything in the defaults that would cause this.
  13. I've found something of a work around for this problem but it still isn't completely satisfactory. I've placed all the switches and the fixtures on the same floor, make the connections and then using the height setting in the object specifications (open object or CNTL-e) move it to the desired floor. This way, the switch will show up in elevations and 3D images where I want it. The downside to this method is the objects don't show up on the correct floor in the plans. Don't know if there is a way around that issue. Anne Snelgrove
  14. Eric, Thank you so very much. I should have seen that camera. This has been driving me nuts for days. I have already added a winder at the bottom of the stairs. I will consider moving the door and adding a landing and another stair but my contractor didn't think we should have another door coming into the living room. I'll run your suggestion by him. Thanks again, Anne
