Is there an option in roof specifications to generate flashing as shown on the image below?. I could not find it anywhere but might be missing it. I understand that it may be possible with box shape but just wondered if it is built in as an option.

Thanks Eric for directing me to self help but I cannot see any relationship with Fill Style and hiding winders to show the enclosure below. Fill style is a fill style. I can do solid fill but that will cover the winders but will not show the WC enclosure below.

I have WC under the stairs as shown in the clip. Please advise how I can hide part of the stairs so that the WC is enclosure is visible below. File attached. FinchfieldRdW89.plan

Thank You Eric for the video presentation. I take it that, in a made stairs, the automatic starwell will not work. Thank you for the work around. By the way, which screen capture program do you use to create these video?

I have a straight flight of stairs and 4 winders created by split landings and winders. The total number reach the floor. When I select the straight flight and then click the Auto stairwell edit tool, it says that the staircase does not reach the floor and does not create the stairwell. I thought the winders may not be connected to the staircase but on 3d, they do appear to be connected. Please advise how to create a stairwell. I tried creating it manually following the help file but then it opens the whole floor up. File attached. FinchfieldRdW89.plan

Thank you David for your demonstration. Convert Polyline to Landing helps. Still very tedious as you demonstrated . Can you explain why my upper flight on the left will not move to the right to close the gap between flights to zero as is the case in your demo. Is it possible to lock these segments together so it could be saved and inserted again and again? Is it possible to add these into the library so they can be inserted and modified?

I want to insert U shaped staiircase with winders within 1800mm wide entrance The flight has a default width of 975mm and projects over the walls. When changing the width to 900mm, it creates a gap in the middle and I cannot move left hand flight to right to close the gap. The landing also becomes detached and trying to adjust it is very tedious and took me 2 hours to do it manually do it by joining multiple landings. Is it possible to change the default settings of the staircase or the landing so its is the correct width before you insert it. Can you change the number of winders to 3 on each quarter landing? Just upgraded to Pro thinking it would be easier but still lot of workarounds. Thank you in advance. Stairs.plan

Making the wall invisible first left a whole on the side elevation but now I have opened the drawing in Pro, it is fine. Setting the wall below to Balloon Through Ceiling Above did nothing. Problem resolved. Thank you

When you present the drawing to the client or the Council, they will ask what that wall is ?

OK. Thanks Eric. Done it by drawing thinner walls and entering the windows manually. The windows then touches on the inside and only leaves a smaller gap on the outside to an acceptable standard. Shame that this cannot be grouped and saved in the library. Thanks guys.

Eric- I cannot locate the option for "Minimum Separation" Edit>Default settings>Window or if I select the window and open its properties?

The windows will not enlarge anymore so cannot reduce the brick sections. Changing the colour of the brick section will make the Jamb too big. Thanks guys. I will practice manually somehow.

Thank you for your response. Don't want to see the brick sections. Wants to achieve window frame throughout. Also with the bow window, I wish to change the number of panes from the default 5 panes.

Hi. I am trying to create Bow, Bay and Box window without the brick sections in between the windows. I can edit the individual window but at maximum, it still leaves brick sections. I have seen some of your older posts which suggests drawing individual walls and windows but it seems to long winded if you have to do it frequently. Are there any further developments or upgrades on this? I am using Home Designer Architectural 2021 in Windows 10
