Is there a way to turn off the "Fill" on an appliance or fixture like a tub or sink or cabinet?

I'm trying to create a solid shape that will be a Scissors Truss which will be covered with plywood. the generic shapes don't provide the option and I'm not seeing where there might be a generic shape I can modify. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As a professional designer keep in mind that what is important is that YOU don't need to worry about what the truss will look like, that is the architect or designer's job. The Truss supplier is going to take your plans and elevations, send them to the manufacturer who will actually design the roof trusses for the project. The building section that is being generated by the designer comes partly from the roof manufacturer, we simply plug in the information as a "visual" indicator for the builder.
