  1. I've just upgraded to Home Designer Pro X13 and am playing around with the PBR. I understand what DJP is saying about art vs. science, and I found some useful info in this youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49Ydq6FncaI The biggest stumbling block I'm having is that I can't control the sunlight intensity when I am working on an interior floor camera. No matter what value I type in for "Intensity", the outside sunlight does not change. The attached image shows it at 500 lux, but even going to 1 does not change the light. Any suggestions? Steve
  2. Thanks, Eric. I think I took care of that. Home Designer Pro 2019
  3. Hi all! I'm finally getting around to asking this little niggly question that has bugged me for years. When I look at my house model in the perspective view, there is a slight gap in the terrain at the foundation (see photo). I'm pretty sure the terrain is being trimmed out at the outside of the siding line, rather than at the foundation line. The problem was more noticeable when I was using continuous exterior insulation and the siding stuck out 2" from the foundation. Any thoughts on how to deal with this? I'm not even opposed if the terrain were to remain continuous through the entire foundation. This would look fine when exporting perspective images to show a client. I suppose it would be less obvious if I had a deeper foundation, but that's just a workaround, not a real fix. Thanks in advance, Steve
  4. Based on this topic. I understand that it's impossible to rotate the entire house, and I understand how to rotate the survey info and north arrow for presentation purposes. This solves the main issue, but the approach won't help when it comes to setting sun angles based on user locations and date/time. Those sun angles will be off if you can't rotate the house onto the correct bearing and I since I'm designing a passive solar house, I want my shadows to be realistic. Is there any way to add a correction factor to the sun angle if I use the "Use Sun Angle" tool in the "Adjust Sunligh" dialog box? That tool lists the solar altitude and direction, which is helpful. But if I want to "Use Generic Sun" to produce the correct sun angles, I can't just input that same information I wrote down from the "Use Sun Angle" tool. Can you give me a methodology to convert solar angles between the two?
