I upgraded to HD 2026, then cancelled 2 days later after discovering that features available in my HD Pro 2025 were no longer available in the new version. Unfortunately, I saved a couple of my favorite plans in the new version and now they won't open in the previous version. Has anyone found a way around this other than having to revert to an old archived version?

@Vikki_WAJust curious, what's not available that your wanting? I haven't used HDP for several years, but I downloaded the trial version and compared it to 2021 and seems like things are about the same with more options. It did start up with Project Managment on and it's a lot different, but it can be turned off and it works like previous versions. I've been using Premier X17 and once I got use to the project management, I really like it. You can't revert to 2023 but give the new version a try and you might like it.

  2. @btushaus After @Jo_Ann posted I had to try again. I got the front, but the back gets close with a hip on the end. If I change it to a Gable, it makes brings back the strange looking gable wall. Maybe Jo-Ann can figure out the back with the rest of the plan.

  3. @btushaus I looked at your plan and I don't think you can get the roof to build in HDA without being able to manually edit the roof planes. Someone else may know a way but it looks like Home Designer Pro would be needed. You could try and get someone with HDP or Chief Premier to fix the roof and send the plan back to you.

  4. @WarwickB I don't know if you figured it out yet, but your plan is built on the second floor, and you have a blank 1st floor. Delete the black first floor and rebuild the terrain.

  5. This is in Architectural 2024 trial so I couldn't send the plan file back to you and you can get there with some work. Like you said above there will be a lot of water coming down the side wall, I made that section a 4/12 pitch kind of like a cricket. The main gable roof is on the second floor and the four small gables front and back are on the first floor. The section to the right I lowered to get the look you showed. Anyway, there's my 2 cents!!!

  6. This is HDP, I don't know what version you are using. You can change the dimension defaults from wall layers to surface and also change from the primary side to the secondary side of the walls.Capture.thumb.PNG.707ba1661fb37b637dbf278dbedacad5.PNG

The wall definitions you can dimension to the plasterboard layer.

Hi, Gary - I'm using Home Designer Pro 2024 build 25.3.0.77

Hey Mike, when I put the sink in the cabinet it works right, I made a custom countertop and I did like yours. Yours looks like a custom countertop so I put 3 cabinets together, left the countertops on them and then added the custom top behind them. That worked best because trying to cut the custom top around the sink doesn’t look as good. Hope that make sense and helps.
