Pendant lights placed on sloped ceilings are not showing any light when lowered below the "attic" height

Recommended Posts

I have some pendants that are placed on a sloped ceiling. When I initially place them, they display some luminosity but when I adjust the height so that they are closer to the island that they are being placed over, they lose all luminosity. They seem to lose luminosity once they are lowered past the point of where the "attic" would be if there was an attic. I've tried placing them on the attic level and it didn't change anything. This happens with every pendant I've tested.

Answers often depend on which title (Suite, Pro etc) and version (2018, 2019 etc) you are using.

You can help everyone by adding that info to your signature (see below for how to turn them on) by clicking on your user name at the top right of the page, click Account Settings, then Signature on the left.

Doing so makes it always available, and keeps others from having to hunt for it.

And, turn on signature display too.

For questions like these, it's really helpful to have a simple plan file to review. So many ways of doing things and so many interrelated settings to check.

Just one room with enough to demonstrate the problem. Close the program before attaching.
