Tacohen 0 Posted February 20 Can I derive a first floor from an existing second floor plan? I created the second floor first because we are adding a bathroom and 2 bedroom to a dormered attic. Now that we are satisfied with the layout, I want to layout the rest of the house, first floor. Is this possible or do i have to create a new file. If so, is there a way to combine the files once finished with the designs? Second floor plan2.pdf
solver 630 Posted February 20 Please post images directly -- no need to make a PDF of an image. This makes it easier for others as an image shows in the forum. Answers often depend on which title (Suite, Pro etc) and version (2018, 2019 etc) you are using. You can help everyone by adding that info to your signature (see below for how to turn them on) by clicking on your user name at the top right of the page, click Account Settings, then Signature on the left. Doing so makes it always available, and keeps others from having to hunt for it. And, turn on signature display too. ---- Resources for self help: The built in Help System (always a good place to start) Getting Started Knowledge Base YouTube Home Designer - Getting Started - Setting Preferences and Defaults Watch on YouTube: http://youtu.be/s-TcAHsiMjg?hd=

Did you create a 2nd floor in the program (Build New Floor), or did you draw your 2nd floor on the 1st floor (you opened the program and just started drawing)? Tacohen 0 Posted February 20 Just opened the program and just started the second floor. Now I want to draw the 1st floor. I know it's backwards, but the 2nd floor was the design problem.
