Stairwell with sloped ceiling and roof above

Recommended Posts

I am trying to create a stairwell that starts in a room that is on the first floor of a single-story section of my house and extends up through the roof and then into the second story section of the house. I've attached a manual cross section of what I am trying to create. I need help with the wall and roof definitions as I can't seem to get what I am looking for - see attached attempts. Any ideas or suggestions?

Thank you in advance!

Answers often depend on which title (Suite, Pro etc) and version (2018, 2019 etc) you are using.

You can help everyone by adding that info to your signature (see below for how to turn them on) by clicking on your user name at the top right of the page, click Account Settings, then Signature on the left.

Doing so makes it always available, and keeps others from having to hunt for it.

And, turn on signature display too.

Good point. I am using Home Designer Pro 2021. I have exhausted all self-help options (spent hours playing around with this). Just need some guidance on how to build the walls and/or ceiling in the stairwell to achieve the desired configuration...

Thoughts?

Attach your plan file (close Pro first) for the best help, and give us an idea of what the roof needs to look like.
