second floor started in the attic

Recommended Posts

I am new to the program, when I built my second floor it ended up in the attic. Is there a quick fix? I have 10' 1st floor height and 9' on second.

I don't understand. The A level (attic) will be above any numbered floors.

It helps if we know what title (Suite, Pro etc) and version (2014, 2015 etc) you are using. You can add this info to your signature by clicking on your user name at the top right of the page, click Account Settings, then Signature on the left. Doing so makes it always available, and this info is often key to providing a good suggestion

Resources for self help:

The built in Help System (always a good place to start)

It looks as though you have some or all of the walls of the upper floor set back from the walls of the lower floor, which creates a design issue with the roof on the lower floor. You need to reduce the pitch of the roof to keep its ridge below the windows on the upper floor and/or adjust the amount of setback to make it work. You may also want to consider changing the style of the roof. It looks as though the hip roof you are using gets quite complicated with your design. A gable or two may help.
