after hitting signature type the info in the box like you do to an e mail  When you hit the print command you should see portrait or landscape in that window . there are  many things that becomes second nature as you keep using the program !! the real gurus will help you more with the proper info !!!  ALL these versions have different features, not to mention how many different type programs this company puts out !!!  IT is   always easier to ask , however going through all the help  files and videos will also help with other aspects of learning the program

if you click on the object does it get red handles ?? if so click on it and drag it to where you want it . does that program have the point to point tool in the bottome tool bar

Called them Dave & they said no you have to do the program uprade to 2018 for $ 99.00 THANKS FOR YOUR SUGGESTION 

i will try & call them again dave . I didnt ask them  that question, and of course they didnt offer the 2 options 

The wording  ,assuming , clicking , & zeroing  in are issues i have been fighting for  awhile lmao The software will omly do what we tell it  ( default , gloally , template ) The software will not take care of anything unless you tell it to . THere is a good webnair on bath design in the videos 

First dont get solver  mad lmao fill out the signature info click on the top right under your name & click  account settings , then under signauture you get a window like you are e mailing , type your info in that box , it will go on the bottom of your post all the time 

  Have you tried using the angular dimension tool on the walls ?  click on a wall & it will become highlighted then use the angular dimension tool on the walls . you will get a red icon i  beleive like an hour glass drag tha to the  next wall it will be a crazy looking line , once you let go of the mouse it will show the degrees of the wall dont move your mouse to quickly !!!! as you hover your mouse over the degree # you will see a hand appear . When you see that hand you should get another drop down menu where you can set that wall angle !!!!v Once again use the mouse slowly and sometimes it HELPS ALOT TO ZOOM IN

what do you feel are the big changes other then librarys in 2018 ??   

I am  using 2017 h pro,Boy  i would have loved to been able to download the new azek library but 2017 will not support these  new libraries  !!!  I callled tech support & they said it would cost me $99.00 to upgrade !!!!!   I cant justify that dollar  amount as of now , not to  mention i can not even preview the componets in the library has anyone with 2018 download that  library & if so what types of   material are in it ?? I would really like specific trim & rail items ! Any info would be greatly appreciated

I was told $99.00 to upgrade to 2018 , i also have 2017 but would love the new librarys  they  have , however they can not be downloaded in 2017 !!!!!  which is a big dissapointment to  me

               I dont see the  need to support or educate people who have not invested in the software. have you downloaded the azek library ?? I am wondering if it is worth the cost of upgrading & how realistic the rails would show up . I called tech support they said that  library can not be previewed I am also wondering how  many diffrent items it contains from azek like trim pieces 

I HAVE Purchased home pro 2017 about 6 months ago . I have had lots of input from people like daivid potter , and solver !!!! MOST TIMES  they are far ahead of me !! IN HOW TO USE THIS SOFTWARE !!!!!!!  Sometimes it is the way i ask  my question , and other times it is the symantics of words either way i would like to thank them and others who respond  !!!!!  IT IS SO NICE TO BE AROUND PEOPLE WHO DO SHARE THERE KNOWLEDGE  !!! They are somewhat generic for most of the programs . which camera are you using ??  there are 2 with diffrent veiws attacthed to each try the first camera closet to the left of the scrreen if you are using pro . the version and year always helps with answers ! This programs makes leaps & bounds with each version & release 

yes you can ,use the transform replicate tool  on the bottom of the screen left hand corner scroll over these icons . best way to learn that edit tool is to play with it !!!! Try it with small squares . make a square with the retangular polyline tool  ( top tool bar towards the right set the square to 6" for this EXAMPLE  . Now click on that square you will get a bunch of red handles ( that is another thing to learn lol ) Once it is highlighted click the transform replicate tool again on the bottom tool bar . You will get  another drop down menu in that box you will have a copy radio button put the # of copies counting the first square in that box . you will see below this more radio buttons labeled x y & z axis X if i remember correctly moves the object up & down  ( north & south ) Y  - LEFT & RIGHT Z moves up and down in a vertical postion . Now if you want  them to move 6 "apart in the X axis place 12" THAT IS HALF OF THE FIRST SQUARE  3" + 6"  ( dist.) + 3" = 12" then hit transform replicate . Now try it with the y axis , which is what  i beleive you might need  ( left to right ) You should be able to do this with other objects also . Point to point tools & centering tools are   very usefull also . I AM STILL LEARNING ALSO BUT BOY THIS PROGRAM IS NEAT !! HOPE THIS HELPS . Always double check layers  for  items are on !! Not sure which camera would be best to do this with lights . A  - NEGATIVE SIGN  BEFORE THE # WILL MOVE IT IN AN OPPOSITE DIRECTION

Hardest  part is finding where something might  be on or off & if it is in a default  drop down menu some times it is obvious other times i go nuts looking also 

have you tried breaking the terrain lines , with the break line tool and adjusting the terrain to diffrent heights ( dim . )

          she also cut  me a break on the price when i told her i had several other construction masters !!!  Saying the truth is cool sometimes 

instead of paying $39.00 i paid $20,00 !!

             you can dock the calculator anywhere on your screen  ( drag with mouse on top ) There are also 3 sizes you can adjust to your  liking .

IS    ANYONE ELSE  USING THIS ON THERE SCREEN  ?? It has so many neat functions  you can dock it on the screen while you working on   a plan !!!  Take a look at it , it is well worth it

wow this was easy  also  as to the degrees at the end of a polyline  

hd 2017 if i use a polyline should i leave it as a countertop or slab       I also want to have both ends an exact 45 degree angle . Is there a default i can set to have this exact ??

i am  a finish carpenter , and i  always say to people in construction a change anywhere is a change everywhere . This isnt dimensional lumber it is composite . 

           composite lumber ripped looks horriable !! that is why i want to rip the first board north to a proper dimension for the 5'1" space to work out perfectly . plus i am still proving to myself how accurate the program is as i learn some of these tools . i have used polylines and did the math then checked where the decking would fall 

             the true dimension of composite is 5 7/16 " so i added  1/8 spacing as per the manufacturer , which is 5 9/16 then divded it up i wouldnt want a small piece anywhere on the deck .All these elemnets have to be considered joist lengthes , if the person decieds to add a double board on the outside rim for added look , so the 2x 10 does not look so large & blah . The set back of the framing in relation to the deck boards considering deck board overhang & added fascia boards to cover the raw wolm. lumber should also so be considered  i dont want the picture frame deck boards to differ in dim. from a stair thread overhang 

              These are   all issues i have seen changed once a contractor talks to a client , then  the dimensions of the plan are the blame !! So i exsplain these options prior to starting 

                as to using transform replicate i have placed a close # of copies based on math for the deck distance using the y axis & saying 5 9/16 it will work fine if i want it to go south to north , is there a way to get it to produce the copies going north to south
