I have a small addition where the owner would like to use an existing window. Due to the height of the window....I need to eliminate the top/tie plates and raise the 2ply LVL up to the top of the wall assembly. The LVL will be continuous through the entire length of the wall.

Use 9.5" LSL rafters (vaulted ceiling) where the bottom of the rafter after the birds mouth cut will come down on the face of the LVL beam a couple of inches. The Home Designer 2024 program that I am using cuts the bottom portion of the rafter off in the room I am working on. I have tried adjusting ceiling heights, manual toggling the rafter....etc. Nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?
