  1. Thanks Eric, I had fun creating the round beam thinking I would solve the rotation up after. So do you know of another way to accomplish my design goal. Thanks John 2022 Pro Retired FL GC
  2. OPPS I did it again Thanks John
  3. Thanks Eric, I attached the file so you can see it. When I created the beam truss I did it with the build tool and just changed dimensions and elevations to create the design over the room. To create the round beams I drew the truss outline in plan then the segmented round beam. If there is a way to turn the round beams upon edge then I can set the elevation to the top of the ceiling beam and move it into the open area of the beam truss. Well that was my thinking until I got to the point when I could not figure out how to rotate it up. Yep I am a terrible speller, thanks for the correction purlin is correct. Hope this is clearer. I will look at the custom backsplash Beam Truss.plan entry room truss scan_20240104_0001.pdf
  4. I created a 12/12 beam truss with the rafter beam and ceiling beam and perlings connecting the 3 beam trusses over the room. I want to create 2, 6"x6" side by side round beams inside the truss as rafter support. I created the round beam with 3" beam segments rotating the angle to create the circle. How do I rotate it up on edge and then set the elevation so I can move it into the truss? If there is a better way of accomplishing this I'm all eyes. Using Pro.
  5. Well that worked, I guess it did not like my approach to is. More work this way but it is clean. Im sure there are steps that would save me time but I am so happy with the time it saves even when I do it wrong. Thanks for the tips and guidance John
  6. I unchecked all the NO Room Def. Also all attic walls since some were Checked all wall connections and in the process of aligning wall it made a complete mess and deleted 1/2 of an adjoining roof, extended the height to walls on each side of the addition up into the heavens and messed up a lot of other stuff so instead of backing up I didn't save, closed plan and will start again. This will be the 4th time, Hopefully it will all work. This time I will delete the roof and all the attic walls and start with a clean slate
  7. I have a new completed house design with a 2nd floor over one section. I want to add to that 2nd floor to an adjoining area with a present (lower) roof line at 90 deg. I raised the roof up to the new wall height and in 2nd fl view added the new walls but it will not recognize the 2nd floor in this area. The options in the Build New Floor do not represent what I need. How do I fix this? In camera view I can see the wall but no floor. Added stairs and stairwell function will not work-no 2nd floor comment. I'm sure it is something really simple that eludes me
  8. As a moderator can you direct me to instructions on how to use this forum? I have a question but I am clueless how to post it in this forum. Hopefully you will not be upset asking it now:
