I would really appreciate the knowledge on how to fix my current project.  I tried adding the attic wall, but can't quite seem to get it in the right spot even with the floor reference.  I think my porch might be a problem.

Part two to this question is how do I make a concrete waterslide?

OK, I got it finally.   FYI I had to get the camera zoomed in on the very bottom, skinny part so I could rotate it in the orientation I wanted.

I went to the custom backsplash, because the soffit doesn't allow me to rotate in the transform/replicate window.

In the Home designer photo in my original post, specifically, I am having trouble moving that object with the yellow arrow (soffit or custom backsplash) so it's 45 degrees to the walls.   Any advice how to move the object to that specific orientation?  Maybe if you could even point me to a video that is similar.  I just can't find anything.

Hi All,

I am trying to make the top of the corner bookshelf but am unclear how to do the 45 degree piece to connect the two.  Currently the two edges at the top are soffits with crown molding.   I have played around with soffits and the custom backsplash, but I can't get anything to rotate the 45 degree angle and connect the two.  

Any suggestion how I can accomplish this?

Also curious if anyone has creative thoughts how I can do something nice with the sloped ceiling and integrate part of the bookshelf into it.

I appreciate the advice.  I made some progress and it's looking better.   I'm always open to advice if you see or think anything that could be helpful.

What would be super helpful is if anyone can point to a tutorial or even give step by step instructions on how to design what Jo_Ann showed in the picture (also attached).  If we could do that, then we could really make any of the shelves we are trying to create.  Please forget soffit and crown molding.  Just the arch at the top as a bookshelf would be great.

I'd like to create a bookshelf like the attached picture (bookshelf Target.jpg).   I have attached what I currently designed in Home Designer Pro.   There are 3 things I can't figure out.

1.  The bottom shelf is now a drawer, but it should be wider than the rest of the bookshelf.  How do I make it wider?  Maybe two separate cabinets?

2.  The top shelf I have as a Door Auto Left, but I just want the arch, not the back wood part of the door.  An open arch.

3.  I have vaulted ceilings.  How do I make the top of the book shelf match the ceiling slope?
