thank you, i tried adding elevation lines and it made the ground a roller coaster in that area. Your drawing is what i needed it to look like, I will play with it some more and fine tune a little. Thank you again.

here is a 3d rendering, I need the flat 0 elevation side to be a walkway between the wall and the shop, opposite of the way this is pictured. workshop wall backward.pdf

I created the curved wall by adding elevation lines and drawing a retaining wall, worked great. Then I added the workshop and the straight wall behind it. I have tried elevation lines, reversing layers, drawing the wall from left to right or right to left, elevation modifiers, and cannot make the straight wall behing the shop retain the high side and leave a 0 elevation walkway behind the shop. No matter what i do, the wall creates the 0 elevation area on the wrong side of the wall. please show me how to create that. Aaron Kilgore Windows 11 64 bit HD pro 2023 Back Patio.plan

for some reason, that is not the correct file, and it now shows the file as 26MB, and too large to attach, I will try and figure it out on my own. thank you

yessir, I used the auto correct foundations and got most of it, but there is still a step up in the living room.

I have somehow changed the floor levels, or possibly created a curb inside the house drawing, and have no idea how to fix it. I have attempted changing stem wall and flooring heights inside the rooms, but they automatically change back and will not allow me to correct the issue. how do I make the edge of the slab disappear in the rooms? shoemaker1.plan

I am attempting to create a round raised planter, and I have used polylines to create the planter and turn it into a slab, but I cannot remove the center of the raised planter. I need a round, 8" thick raised wall, approx 24" tall with no slab in the center. I also need that 8" thick round wall to be landscape blocks, I believe that is done simply by changing the material, or do I need to start over and do this a different way?schmidt.plan schmidt.plan

I have shaded the area using poly lines simply to delineate it, but cannot find a way to transform that area into a concrete pad.

I am attempting to draw a new deck on an existing house. The wood deck is exactly as I want it, but there is an existing concrete patio at the back door exit, shown by the shaded area. First, how do I create a concrete patio? Second, how do I make it have an arc shape? The concrete will be at the same height as the new deck, top of deck at top of slab/floor level. Third, is there a training video series I can refer to that will assist me in not feeling like such a moron when it comes to simple things like this? I have scanned through many videos, all are well detailed in everything except what I need to know, and I cannot find what I am looking for in the help manual or the forums.

I am trying to create a full height cabinet to fit into the angled section between the existing full height cabinet and the door. I tried angle front cabinets, set to 24" deep left and 0 right, it changes the angle of the front doors relative to the left side. I need the front doors of the cabinet to stay on a right angle to the left side. basically I need an angled back cabinet instead of an angled front cabinet. Is this possible in HD pro 2021? yes, auto building roof, I dont want walls, only 6x6 posts on 8' centers. when i attempt to build walls, it does odd things to roof shape, and adds flooring into the open bay areas.

I am trying to create a boathouse with open boatslips and one simple hip roof over the area marked out by the room dividers on the pic. HD pro 2021 does not seem to like this idea. I have tried several functions of "no locate", "make invisible" or any other options I can find to make the marked out area one square room with a hip roof, all to no avail. I cannot find a youtube video, HD help topic, or forum topic to fit this scenario. This is a boat slip over water, all constructed of treated lumber over water, so I believe starting out by drawing it as a deck is the way to go. Is that correct? I need to draw a couple of different variations for the customer, with different roof layouts, so I need to know how to make this work. I also need to draw a handrail along the narrow edge on the side parallel to the one I have drawn, stopping even with the existing railing, Pro will not let me break the wall and only do handrail along a portion of it, the program always makes the entire wall along lower edge of the drawing handrailed. I only need them for the to extend on half of the wall, and stop even with the ones on the other side of the walkway. This is on the left most end of the pic along the narrow walkway. I seem to be running into these type of issues quite frequently, and I am aware that it is simple inexperience, is there a tech support phone number I can call and get some real time advice if I need it? When i try to add room dividers, it adds in flooring in the open sections and puts some form of lower wall edge on the side of the deck, how do I stop that from happening? without room dividers, the wall heights on the storage closet will not work correctly. Do I need to delete the closet and draw it in later, or have it in place before I put the roof on? If I try to just roof over the room, it cuts out the boat slips and makes a multiple faceted hip roof, or only draws a ceiling, no roof. This is a pic of the actual existing boat house, customer wants to make some changes, so I need to be able to draw examples of what the new layouts would look like for comparison. How do I draw that roof over this structure?

that got it, thank you

eave fascia is all turned off, but still shows up. tried turning it on and setting it to 0's, will not let me set to lower than 1/16". I posted a screen shot of that panel, as it is currently set up on my laptop. Can you tell me what to set it to to make the eaves dissappear?
-
can you send me a screen shot of that check box for the eave trim? none of the check boxes I have remove it.
-
I have found that I was trying to display ceiling trusses instead of roof trusses, I have them showing up in the rendering now, but still have not found how to remove the osb decking or eave trim.
-
I have tried what you suggested, still does not work like I want it to. any suggestions? I have autobuilt and placed one truss, it is not showing up in the rendering. I have looked in the structure tab of the roof plane, I do not see how to remove the osb decking or the eave coverings, I am trying to create open space, exposed trusses, with tin roof visible from underneath.
-
Can you send me a screen shot or tell me how to set those options, I dont see them anywhere. the camera view options I have found deal with camera angle and backlight, not what is shown in the view. I have opened each roof plane and deselected each of those options, I dont see where to get rid of the underside of the soffit coverings. Can you tell me where that is or send a screen shot? I didnt use autobuilt because I could not force them to work no matter what I tried. Can you tell me how or send a screen shot of how to make this in the drawing? I would like the final product to be a single 2x12 ceiling joist on top of the beams, with open rafters above, so an open triangle with no webbing.

Not having any luck finding my answer, was hoping for a quick answer here. I am designing an outdoor venue covered patio, no buildings attached. I have the covered area designed, and my rafter/roof framing shaped the way I want, but I am an not seeing a way to make the rafters exposed in full camera view. Final product should be full exposed framing. roof framing shows up in full perspective framing overview, but not in full perspective view. Customer wants to see final product. I am also doing tin roof over rafters, no decking, no soffits, but i do want gutters. I have unchecked all those parts in default roofs, but they still show up. I would also like to cut off the tips of the 2x12 joists where they cut through above the rafters. I have manually created the ceiling joists.

The "update from master" button does nothing. As I stated, based on the reading I have done, I believe it is because the master list description is not identical to the material list description (lengths in even numbers vs decimal numbers). So, back to my original question, how do I get the lengths in the master and material lists to register the same?
-
I have read the help manual and watched tutorial videos, as well as searched forum topics, have not found my answer yet. I have prices imported into my master list, cannot draw them into my plan material list. Based on what I have read, it is because the information is not identical. I have tried changing the reporting method, gone through every available setting I can find, and cannot get the information to move back into the material list. Master list shows board lengths in even fractions, material list is in decimals. Material list will not change from decimals no matter what setting I use, linear, cut, or buy list, regardless of feet, inches, or combination. 1) I have never seen a 40' board in any lumber yard, why does my material list tell me that I need a 40' piece when I change it to "buy list"? 2) how do I get the pricing to move back into the material list from the master? these prices were imported to the master from this list, I have not changed the plan, I have only closed and reopened material lists, so it stands to reason that the items imported to the master should match the material list they were imported from.
